Eleanor D. (Schlink) Bachmura of Newark passed away Monday, July 27, 2009. She was 86.
Mrs. Bachmura was a secretary for DuPont, Chestnut Run, retiring in 1985 after 30 years service.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and the church’s choir.
Mrs. Bachmura enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cross stitching.
She was preceded in death by a husband, Joseph P. Bachmura, in 2005; and a brother, Marvin Denney.
She is survived by a her daughter and a son-in-law, Christine and John M. Pratt of North Star; a son and a daughter-in-law, Jay R. Sr. and Michele L. Schlink of Townsend; five grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Mimi,” Michael, Chris, Maribeth, Melissa and Jay Jr.; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Thursday, July 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McCrery Memorial Chapel, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy., at Duncan Road.
Services will be on Friday, July 31, at 11 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 6 N. Clifton Ave., Roselle, where friends may also call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Johns Hopkins Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, 720 Rutland Ave., Ross 558, Baltimore, MD 21205.
