    Natalie Landis Kirkwood of Townsend, a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at her home. She was 38.
    Natalie was born Dec. 2, 1970, in Wilmington, daughter of Will and Charlotte (Johnston) Kirkwood.
    She was a graduate of Kent County Orthopedic School in Dover. During the past 17 years, she enjoyed working at Delaware Elwyn, a human services organization recognized nationally and internationally as experts in the education and care of individuals with special challenges and disadvantages.
    Natalie lived her life to the fullest. Through her beautiful smile and warm heart, she touched the lives of many in such a special way.
    For the past 16 years, she enjoyed spending a week each summer at Camp Fairlee Manor near Chestertown, Md., and was a participant in Special Olympics for many years. She enjoyed traveling with her parents to various areas, including Nashville, Canada, Niagara Falls, Oklahoma, Disney World and many other states.
    She enjoyed all kinds of music, especially country. As an avid Randy Travis fan, she enjoyed attending several of his concerts and had the honor to meet with him privately during one of his performances.
    Natalie was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow by the Middletown-Odessa Rotary Club.
 She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Landis and Mary A. Johnston and Edwin and Estelle Kirkwood.
    She leaves many wonderful memories to her parents, Will and Charlotte Kirkwood of Townsend; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sharon (McNaughton) and Robert Wyatt of Harrington, Stephanie (McNaughton) and Douglas Wright of Townsend, and Rene’ (Kirkwood) Nolan of Middletown; seven nieces, Sharon Wyatt Dominguez and her husband, Ramon, Amy Wyatt, Lyndsey Wyatt, Alison and Samantha Wright and Sara and Jena Nolan; a nephew, Zachary Nolan; two grandnephews, Matthew and Alex; and two very dear and special friends, Tony Cratty and Jerry Thomas.
    Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 6 at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, LLC, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where friends may call at 1:30.
    Burial will be in Massey Cemetery in Massey, MD.
    Memorial contributions may be made in Natalie’s memory to Camp Fairlee Manor, 22242 Bayshore Road, Chestertown, MD 21620; or to Delaware Elwyn, 321 E. 11th Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
