W. Gail Smith of Middletown passed away with her loving family by her side on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at Christiana Hospital, Newark. She was 85.
Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 21, 1924, in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Irving and Winifred Murray.
She was a graduate of the University of Delaware
Mrs. Smith was a life member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Middletown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, S. Rodmond Smith Jr., in 1985.
She is survived by a son, S. Rodmond “S.R.” Smith III; a daughter and a son-in-law, Lea S. C. and Larry Hutchins; and two granddaughters, Maddison Hutchins and Hanna Hutchins, all of Middletown.
Services will be private.
