The inaugural 5K Milk Run/Walk was held Saturday, June 1 at Appoquininink High School. The event was sponsored by the New Castle County Farm Bureau with all proceeds going to the “Milk for Children Fund” at the Ministry of Caring to provide milk for homeless and hungry children in the greater Wilmington area.

Students at Appoquinimink High School got to spend Friday afternoon shooting hoops, playing on inflatables, watching a movie and trying to dunk Principal Gayle Rutter thanks to a state grant awarded to the school last year.
