Lampkin helped lead the Cavaliers to a fourth-place finish in the girls Division I Track and Field Championships, while Appoquinimink finished fifth in the team standings Saturday at Dover.
Middletown’s Daija Lampkin won titles in the 100 and 200-meter races and anchored the Cavaliers’ first-place 4x200-meter relay team Saturday at the Division I Track and Field Championships at Dover High School.
Lampkin already holds the state record in the 100 meters and 200 meters, but on Saturday she set the record for the Division I state meet in the 100 with a time of 11.85 seconds. Her state record is 11.78 seconds.
Lampkin helped lead the Cavs to a fourth-place finish in the team standings with 53 points.
Padua won the Division I title with 184.5 points. Smyrna was second with 125, and Caesar Rodney placed third with 89 points.
Appoquinimink finished fifth with 40 points out of 16 schools who scored in the meet.
