The event Saturday, Aug. 19 raises funds for the sports boosters at Middletown and Appoquinimink high schools to provide scholarships for graduating seniors who displayed outstanding sportsmanship.
The Old-Tyme Peach Festival 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, Aug. 19 at 8 a.m., at Silver Lake Park, 200 E. Cochran St., Middletown.
The fee for the 5K is $25.
Registration on race day opens at 7 a.m.
A Kiddie K will be held at 7:50 a.m. The fee is $10.
Registration forms are available online at www.macrunning.com or premierptsp.com/peach-festival/. Forms are also available at Premier Physical Therapy, 200 Cleaver Farm Road, Suite 400, Middletown.
Event T-shirts will be provided to all who register in advance.
Post-race food and beverages will be available.
Awards for the 5K will be presented to the top overall male and female runners and the top three runners in age groups from 10 and under to 60 and over. Kiddie K participants will all receive a prize.
The event is organized by Premier Physical Therapy & Sports Performance and the Middletown Athletic Club. Funds raised will be donated to the sports boosters at Middletown and Appoquinimink high schools to provide scholarships for graduating seniors who displayed outstanding sportsmanship.
