Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver and former Middletown Football standout, Chris Godwin,  was named NFC offensive Player of the Week by the NFL. 

Godwin caught seven passes for 111 yards and a touchdown, helping lead the Buccaneers over the New Orleans Saints, 31-24, on Sunday.

A third round pick by Tampa Bay in last year’s draft, Godwin finished his rookie season seeing time in all 16 games, ending the year with 34 receptions for 525 yards and a touchdown to go along with seven special teams tackles.
