The Jaguars evened their season record at 2-2 with the victory on the road Friday night and now host Middletown Oct. 5.
The Appoquinimink High School football team overcame a 15-6 halftime deficit for a 19-15 comeback victory at Sussex Tech Friday.
The Jaguars struck first on a 66-yard touchdown pass from Kamal Yellowdy to Marquis Battle. The extra-point attempt was no good.
Sussex Tech answered with a 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and the extra-point kick for a 7-6 lead.
Then the Ravens' defense scored a safety to extend the lead to 9-6.
Later in the second quarter, Sussex Tech scored on a 27-yard pass play for a 15-6 halftime edge. The two-point conversion failed.
In the third quarter, the Jaguars started their comeback with a 33-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ryan vonBrandt to Yellowdy. Isabella Scarpinato kicked the extra point to cut the Sussex Tech lead to 15-13.
In the fourth quarter, vonBrandt threw another touchdown pass to Yellowdy, this time a 39-yard play, as the Jaguars moved in front 19-15 and held on for the win. The two-point conversion attempt was no good.
