On the Smyrna High soccer team's Senior Night, senior Drew Zlock scored the tying goal for the Eagles in the second half against Middletown Thursday.

The Cavaliers and Eagles battled through two overtime periods, but the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

In the first half, Middletown senior Justin Hemphill struck first for the Cavaliers, scoring at the 39-minute mark for a 1-0 lead.

Drew Zlock tied the game in the second half at the 48-minute mark on a header to the top left side of the goal with an assist from sophomore Easley Pierson.

In goal, senior Connor Haines made nine saves for Middletown, while senior Nick Taylor had 10 saves for Smyrna.

Smyrna outshot Middletown 11-10 and had a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.

SEASON RECORDS: Middletown 6-5-1; Smyrna 3-9-1.
