The Middletown Cavaliers were eliminated in the state semifinals Saturday, falling to Caravel Academy 11-1 in five innings.   Caravel took an early 3-0 lead in a first inning that was capped off by a Colin Adams two-run single.   Caravel’s bats stayed hot in the second inning, scoring three more runs led by a Brandon Fraley two-run double to increase their advantage to 6-1.

Appoquinimink scored six fourth-quarter goals to power past No. 3 Wilmington Friends 11-10 in the quarterfinals of the DIAA Boys Lacrosse State Tournament Saturday.
