Triple XL takes second third

     Triple XL captured the second third in the Classic League on Thursday night at Mid County Lanes. The XL team swept all four points from Kings-N-Queens to win the third by 1 and ½ points over Orange Crush who moved up to second place by virtue of a four-point shutout over Just Mash.
     XL was led by Roger Johnson’s 299 game and 762 set. Orange Crush’s sweep was led by Shawn Wade’s 278, 261, 269 for an 808 set which was the high series of the night for the league and the 18 th 800 series of the year.
     Tom Tokarski paced Crank em Up to fourth wins over Mid County Lanes rolling the 24 th perfect game (300) of the year as part of a 787 series. Jim Johnson III rolled a 715 series for Mid County Lanes team to maintain his league and state high average of 245.41.
     Terri Bollinger continues to have a comfortable lead for the ladies high average with a 227.59. Debbie Heath led the ladies scoring Thursday night with a 207, 211, 245 for a 663 series.
     Great New Beginnings rolled the team high game and team high series of the night with a 1,244 and 3,587. There were 25 series of 700 or better 5 below last week’s record number of 30. There is only one final third left in the 11-week season.
