Orange Crush won three points over Kings-N-Queens Thursday night in the Classic League at Mid County Lanes to push their lead to two points with three weeks remaining in the second third. The Crush was led by Chris McDaniel (268, 760) and Greg Bianchi (242, 715).
Jim Johnson III rolled a sub-par 247, 696 and dropped his leading average to 244.54 but still holds a commanding lead over Ker(mit Justice, Jr. (238.29) and Jeremy Elder (238.20).
The ladies average leader, Terri Bollinger also had an off night with 277, 650 but still leads Susan Turchen (220.20).
There were 11 sets of 725 or better by the men with Gary Renshaw being high with 257,300, 232, 789. The perfect game was the 23rd of the season.
