Charles M. “Skip” Hitchens, III.  of Middletown passed away at his home on Saturday, January 14, 2012 . He was 73.

Skip is survived by his son, Timothy, his mother Frances M. Hitchens, his sister and her husband, Dorothy and Smokey Smith, and his brother and his wife, Michael and Margaret Hitchens.

There was a gathering for friends and family to celebrate Skip’s life on Saturday, January 21 at 1 p.m. at the “1861” restaurant located at 423 North Broad Street in Middletown.

Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the “SPCA” Sussex County Shelter, 22918 DuPont Hwy., Georgetown, DE. 19947. Arrangements by Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, LLC, Middletown.
