Your daily entertainment update with today's launch of Sprint's Evo 3D, a simple recipe for Bacon and Cheddar Mashed Potatoes and "The Biggest Loser: Couples" tonight on NBC.

Dinner idea: Bacon and Cheddar Mashed Potatoes

8 russets (about 5 pounds), peeled, cut into 2-inch pieces

3 teaspoons salt

1 cup heavy cream

1 stick butter

12 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled

1 pound sharp cheddar, grated

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup chopped fresh chives

Ground black pepper, to taste

Place potatoes and half the salt in a heavy saucepan and cover with 1 inch of water. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook until potatoes are fork tender, about 20 minutes. Drain in a colander. Put potatoes through a ricer and back into the cooking pot.

Add the cream, butter, remaining salt and black pepper. Place pan over medium-low heat and whip the ingredients together with a large fork or spatula until smooth. Add bacon, grated cheese, sour cream and chives. Stir to combine. Taste and season. Makes 10 to 12 servings.

On TV: ‘Biggest Loser: Couples’ on NBC at 8 p.m. EST; 7 p.m. CST

On tonight's new episode of "The Biggest Loser: Couples," the contestants are split into four groups, each led by one trainer. As one eliminated contestant returns, the couples participate in a spinning class and a boxing exercise, and then they hit the beach for a surprise session. At the end of the episode, one more person will be eliminated.
