The Middletown Jaycees are encouraging organizations to enter the float competition in the Middletown Fourth of July Parade. The Jaycees are also seeking sponsorships and are offering participation levels for businesses, families, and individuals.

Preparations are underway for the Middletown Jaycees annual 4th of July Parade.

This year the parade will take place Thursday, July 4, at 10 a.m., starting from Everett Meredith Middle School on South Broad Street.

Organizations are encouraged to enter the competition for the best float. The Jaycees are seeking sponsorships and are offering participation levels for not only businesses, but also individuals and families.

Back by popular demand will be the Kid's Corner including moon bounces, face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon animals and more.

The Jaycees is an organization dedicated to young professionals between the ages of 18-41 who are interested in enhancing their leadership and business skills, networking, socializing and various volunteer opportunities. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at the Middletown Administration Building at 7 p.m.
