Samsung today announced the Galaxy Gear, a smartwatch. The 1.63-inch watch needs to be used in conjunction with a Galaxy smartphone or tablet, but it will let users control phone calls, emails, texts and more by voice command. The smartwatch will debut on Sept. 25 throughout the world, but the U.S. won’t get it until October.
