A round table discussion will be held on Wednesday to allow community members to brainstorm ideas on how to make schools in the Appoquinimink School District more sustainable.
The Delaware Pathways to Green Schools is coordinating the event which will be held Oct. 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Appoquinimink School District’s Alternative Energy Classroom. The classroom is located on the Bunker Hill Elementary School’s campus has energy efficient features such as hydronic heating, photovoltaic solar power, and a wind turbine, in addition to a rainwater retention and reuse system.
The round table discussion is a free, informal event meant to encourage networking, communication, and growth as we all look to make our communities and schools more sustainable. Anyone is welcome to join the meeting. Whether you are a teacher looking to become a part of the DE Pathways program, an individual or an organization that is interested in becoming more involved, all are welcome to attend this event.
