North Broad Street will be closed between Cedar Lane Road and U.S. Route 301 from Nov. 5 until midnight on Nov. 7.

Drivers accessing U.S. Route 301 from North Broad Street beware. The street will be temporarily closed in early November.

According to DelDOT, the street won't be accessible between Cedar Lane Road and Rt. 301 as crews will be working to replace the railroad crossing from 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5 until midnight on Friday, Nov. 7, pending weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Message boards will be posted in advance of the closure and detour routes will also be posted.

Norfolk Southern Railroad will be replacing the crossings, DelDOT stated.

Detour heading northbound: Broad Street to Main Street onto U.S. Route 301 to Marl Pit Road to Cedar Lane Road and return to Broad Street.

Detour heading southbound: U.S. Route 301 to Main Street and back to Broad Street.
