Voters returned the incumbents to New Castle County row offices in Tuesday’s election.

New Castle County Sheriff

Incumbent Democrat candidate Trinidad Navarro received about 89 percent of the votes to defeat Libertarian candidate Patrick Shipp, 96,385 to 12,119.

A resident of Bear, Navarro has held his position as sheriff for the past four years.

New Castle County Recorder of Deeds

Democrat Michael E. Kozikowski will continue to be the New Castle County Recorder of Deeds, a position he has held for the past 12 years. Kozikowski beat Republican contender David Tancredi and Libertarian Shawn P. Long Jr.

Kozikowski received 75,037 votes or 58.7 percent of the total.

Tancredi received 49,159 votes or 38.5 percent of the total.

Long Jr. received 3,599 votes or 2.8 percent of the total.
