Newcomers: Nckyle Green, Cameron Green, Robert Jadick, Kyle Kruger, Josh DiCuirci, Jalen Driggins, Gabriel Colombo, Mathew Blaasch, Nicklaus Allen

Season Outlook/Expectations: After a 5-7 mark as a team last season, the Appoquinimink Jaguars’ wrestling team returns for a new season. Appo returns a number of wrestlers from last year’s squad, including Brandon Pretlow, Johnathan Genetti, and Sean Marshall. They’ll be without the dynamic duo of Jake Smith and Josh Smith who were the only two Jags to participate in last year’s state championships. With another large and deep squad, Appo hopes to send more wrestlers to states this season.

 

Middletown Cavaliers

Head Coach: Clif Bakhsh

2013 Record: 7-4

Returnees: Justin Decino, Brandon Ruiz, Dominic Palmer, Cortez Otero, Jared Townsend, Isiah Mitchell, Carter McClung, Erich Schneider, Jake Diacont, Chris Weatherford, Dante Immediato

Newcomers: Taylor Ford, Clayton Gage, Zebediah Miller, Justin Crouse

Season Outlook/Expectations: The Middletown Cavaliers return to the mat for another season after posting a 7-4 record as a team a year ago. The Cavaliers sent two wrestlers to the state championships last season, graduate Thomas Lopez placed sixth at 170, and returnee Erich Schneider took fourth overall at 182. With a number of returning wrestlers for Middletown they should once again compete within the division. The hope is to send more participants to the state tournament this time around.

 

St. Georges Hawks

Head Coach: Patrick Atkinson

2013 Record: 8-4

Returnees: Colin Walker, Anthony Donovan, Jacob Chilson, Tony Immediato, Danien Pike, Tyler Bib, Daniel Brooks

Newcomers: Hunter Beaudet, Dylan Carrow, Logan Cavanaugh, Luciano Ciaranca, Zion Peopples-Cheak, Braden Porter, Nicholas Serio, Jhemir Stanley, Steven Taylor, Damani Wells, Nicholas Atehortua

Season Outlook/Expectations: St. Georges Tech wrestling begins a new era headed by Patrick Atkinson, looking to improve upon last year’s 8-4 record. The Hawks sent three wrestlers to states last season including graduates Michael Albanese, and Rocco Hladney, and returnee Jacob Chilson. The Hawks return with another deep team which should challenge within the division. With a handful of returnees and several newcomers the Hawks hope to send more wrestlers to states this season.
