A Delaware City woman was charged with disorderly conduct after an outburst at the Walmart in Middletown.

A Delaware City woman was charged with disorderly conduct after an outburst at the Walmart in Middletown.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at approximately 10:30 p.m.

According to the Middletown Police Department, officers responded to the Walmart on Middletown-Warwick Road (U.S. Route 301) after a report of a woman inside the store screaming and using obscene language towards an employee.

As the woman was leaving the store, several other employees who had witnessed the incident pointed out the woman in the parking lot to the officers.

Police said that Kouwamia Boyer, 30, of the 700 block of 4th Street, in Delaware City, was yelling at her husband who is an employee at the store. Her behavior caused offense and alarm to the other Walmart employees.

Boyer was charged with disorderly conduct and was issued a criminal summons and released.
