MOT fell to New York 9-6 in the opening game of the Majors Baseball Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament in Bristol, Conn. on Monday afternoon.
Leading 1-0 entering the fourth New York scored six runs in the inning to take a commanding 7-0 lead over MOT.
In the bottom half of the fourth, MOT responded with five runs of their own cutting the New York lead to 7-5.
With New York leading 8-5 in the bottom of the fifth, MOT was able to get the go-ahead run to the plate but were only able to manage one run in the inning.
New York tacked on another run in the top of the sixth gaining a 9-6 advantage and MOT was unable to make a comeback.
Brody Sapp led the way for MOT going 3-for-3 with two singles, a triple, and knocked in two runs in the loss.
Daniel Keane had two hits for MOT, while Blake Harbert, Jake Salony, Ben Falletta, Michael Breen, and Connor Wootten all had a hit apiece.
MOT is back in action Wednesday taking on New Jersey in Elimination Bracket starting at 4 p.m.
