Garrison #302 of the Army & Navy Union USA veterans group is coordinating Middletown’s first “TubaChristmas” concert on Friday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m.

The free event will be held outdoors at Cochran Square, at the southwest corner of Main and Broad streets in downtown Middletown.

The group will be conducted by Ed Hockersmith, past commander of the 287th Army Band, Delaware Army National Guard.

Tuba performers are welcome to join the group. There is a $10 registration fee for performers. Registration and practice will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church, 13 Pennington St., Middletown, on Dec. 11, starting with registration at 4 p.m., and practice at 5:30 p.m.

“TubaChristmas” music books will be sold at registration desk for $20 for those who need one. Be sure to bring a music stand. Chairs will be available for those who need to sit.
