The course is a requirement for anyone born after Jan. 1, 1978, to legally operate a boat on Delaware waters.

The Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer two-day boating safety courses from 6-10 p.m. March 1 and 3, April 4 and 6 and May 2 and 4 at the Delaware State Fire School, 1461 Chestnut Grove Road, Dover.

The course, offered by the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Delaware Division of Fish & Wildlife, is a requirement for anyone born after Jan. 1, 1978, to legally operate a boat on Delaware waters.
