Here are some fun events for you to dive into this weekend.

1. Singer-songwriting legend Jewel will grace the Small Wonder as part of her “Picking Up The Pieces” tour. Fans will want to buy their tickets immediately, because the show is on pace to sell out.

The tour is named after Jewel's new album, featuring songs that convey emotional turmoil from the artist's life.

Jewel has sold millions of albums and established herself as a storyteller, poet and troubadour whose music digs deep into her own experiences. Her vast and wide-ranging catalog of songs, many of which have been performed in concert but never recorded, is rapidly approaching 1,000 tunes.

Jewel will perform at The Playhouse on Rodney Square, 1007 N. Market St., in Wilmington at 8 p.m., Friday. COST $43 to $53. INFO Visit or call 888-0200.

2. Barrage 8 re-imagines the string octet – five violins, viola, cello and double bass, into instrumentation that drives a rich and powerful sonic palette.

Barrage is the latest project from John Crozman, Dean Marshall and Tony Moore, the original creators of the hit show “Barrage.”

Utilizing the same energy, flair and innovative stage performance that Barrage was known for, Barrage 8 features a fun show with instruments in the modern string family.

Audiences can enjoy the concert at the Schwartz Center for the Arts, 226 S. State St., in Dover at 7:30 p.m., Saturday. COST $16 to $32. INFO Visit or call 678-5152.

3. Pucker up, your lips will find a good time at Rock Bottom's Kiss tribute concert. Audiences will get a taste of the Kiss experience, but at a very discounted rate.

Kiss rose to prominence in the 1970s with elaborate live performances featuring fire-breathing, blood-spitting, smoking guitars, levitating drum kits and pyrotechnics. The band is well-known for its members' face paint and stage outfits.

Rock Bottom will gig at the Milton Theater, 210 Union St., in Milton at 8 p.m., Saturday. COST $15 student and $20 adult. INFO Visit or call 684-3038.
