Maryland man in critical condition after motorcycle collides with truck.

A Maryland motorcyclist is in critical condition after a collision May 15.

At 10:26 p.m. Cody N. Becker, 23, of Manchester, Md. was riding his motorcycle on Dukes Avenue. Timothy A. Monroe, 38, from Selbyville was operating a 2006 Honda Ridgeline eastbound on Lighthouse Road approaching Dukes Avenue.  Becker was trying to make a left turn when he struck the front right side of Monroe’s truck.

Becker was ejected from the motorcycle and landed in the intersection.

Becker, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was airlifted by Delaware State Police Aviation  to Christiana Medical Center. He is listed in critical condition.

Monroe was properly restrained and uninjured. The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing their investigation into this incident and no charges have been filed.  Lighthouse Road and Dukes Avenue were closed for three hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.
