The Johnson Victrola Museum, 375 S. New St., Dover, will be temporarily closed for construction from June 6-30. The museum will return to its regular operating schedule July 1, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays to Saturdays.

The Johnson Victrola Museum, 375 S. New St., Dover, will be temporarily closed for construction June 6-30.

The museum’s existing disabled-access sidewalk and ramp will be replaced, along with landscape grading and seeding, new underground stormwater piping and new aluminum downspouts and railings.

The museum will return on July 1 to its regular operating schedule of of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays to Saturdays.

The museum is open on holidays including Independence Day, July 4, when it will offer “Stars and Stripes,” guided tours that explore some of Victor Records’ many recordings of patriotic music accompanied by 78-revolutions per minute records played on authentic Victor Talking Machines. The program will also be offered on July 2.
