The Delaware Department of Agriculture will hold public hearings this month.

Meetings will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 23 at the Delaware Department of Agriculture Cordrey Administration Building, 2320 S. DuPont Highway, Dover; 11 a.m. Aug. 24 at the Carvel Research & Education Center, 16483 County Seat Highway, Georgetown; 11 a.m. Aug. 25 at Blackbird State Forest, 502 Blackbird Forest Road, Smyrna.

House Bill 147 requires executive branch agencies to review their existing regulations to determine whether they should be amended or rescinded.

Pursuant to 29 Del. Code Section 10407, DDA is conducting a review of regulations that have not been updated within the last four years and are not under the purview of a state commission. The latter category includes the Delaware Agricultural Lands Preservation Foundation, the Nutrient Management Commission, the Thoroughbred Racing Commission and the Harness Racing Commission.
