The K-9 Stockings for Soldiers donation drive will accept donations until mid-October at various locations.

The donations are sent to soldiers serving overseas. The items needed include: Kong 3-inch rubber balls, grooming tools such as combs and brushes, large rope chews, dog toothpaste and toothbrushes, collapsible nylon dog bowls, ear wash, True Chews Beef Bully Sticks, Advantix, flea and tick treatment, True Chews Chicken Jerky, salves for paws/noses, beds or sleeping mats, eye drops, blankets, shampoo and conditioner, cooling mats, nail clippers, warming mats, towels to wipe paws, cooling collars, treats, dog boots in medium and large and doggles.

Drop-off locations are: Absalom Jones Senior Center, 310 Kiamensi Road, Wilmington; New Castle Senior Center, 400 South St.; Brandywine Hundred Library, 1300 Foulk Road, Wilmington; Kirkwood Library, 6000 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington; Bear Library, 101 Governor’s Place; Newark Free Library, 750 Library Ave.; Claymont Library, 400 Lenape Way; MOT Senior Center, 300 S. Scott St., Middletown; and New Castle Public Library, 424 Delaware St.

Donations will also be accepted from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, Oct. 10 to Nov. 23 at the Stocking Store, 1812 Marsh Road, Wilmington.
