Give Something Back Foundation is accepting scholarship applications from Delaware ninth-graders and will host mandatory information sessions for interested students and families.

The sessions will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at University of Delaware, Gore Hall 103, 114 The Green, Newark; 7-8:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at University of Delaware, Elbert N. and Ann V. Carvel Research and Education Center, 16483 County Seat Highway, Georgetown; and 7-8:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at Caesar Rodney High School, 239 Old North Road, Camden.

In spring 2016, three Sussex Technical High School ninth-graders were awarded full college scholarships from the Give Something Back Foundation, an organization that provides mentoring and scholarships to help qualified students complete a college degree at the University of Delaware at no cost for tuition, fees and room and board.

Bailee Bowden, Gavin Walter and Joseph Wilder were awarded full scholarships and will soon be paired with trained adult mentors who will support these students through the remainder of their high school years and prepare them for the challenges of college.
