Here are some fun events to dive into this weekend.

1. The art exhibit “Truth & Vision: 21st Century Realism” showcases contemporary developments in a mode of painting historically tied to the greater Brandywine Valley.

The exhibit includes two trends in representational painting with the depiction of the natural world and the creation of fantastic imaginings.

“Truth & Vision” is waiting for you at the Delaware Art Museum, 2301 Kentmere Parkway, in Wilmington from 10 to 4 p.m., Friday through Sunday. 2. Gypsy Wind features fiddle, banjo, guitar, keyboard, pennywhistle and world percussion in their arsenal of music.

The band performs a blend of tunes exploring the connection between traditional American and Celtic acoustic music. Gypsy Wind offers a fresh perspective on the traditions embodied within these genres.

The quartet is comprised of two talented couples who bring together a diversity of experience.

Fiddler, banjoist and vocalist Steve Quillen and guitarist/vocalist Ali Reed Quillen have gigged in the Mid-Atlantic region as the folk duo Kindred Spirits.

Special guest Mickey Justice will join the band in this Milton concert.

3. Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol” is a tale with a heartwarming message that's just in time for the holiday season.

The play features a crabby old miser named Ebenezer Scrooge and reveals his transformation into a gentler, kindlier man after visitations by the spirit of his former business partner and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come.

“A Christmas Carol” will be performed at the Riverfront Theater, 2 S. Walnut St., in Milford at 8 p.m., Friday, Saturday and at 2 p.m., Sunday. A total of six shows will be held through Dec. 4.
