An employee of a construction company had to be flown to the hospital after he was injured this morning in Middletown.
At approximately 9:45 a.m., the Middletown Police Department responded to an industrial accident involving a milling machine, on Priscilla Street at South Scott Street.
Police said the victim, a 40-year-old man employed by the Cirillo Brothers construction company, stepped in the path of a milling machine and suffered an injury to a lower extremity.
He was transported to Christiana Hospital by State Police helicopter for treatment. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was notified and responded to investigate, police said.
