The Middletown Family YMCA is now accepting registration for its first summer day camp.

The camp will be held at Silver Lake Elementary School and Park, located at 200 East Cochran Street in Middletown, DE.

Participants will have an opportunity to enjoy weekly sessions that will run Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM beginning on Monday, June 19 through Friday, Aug. 11.

Youth who attend camp also have the option of participating in “before and after care” for no additional cost between the hours of 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

“We want to help youth have their best summer ever and it’s important for them to have an outlet to play and learn in a safe and supervised environment throughout the summer months,” said David Halley, Center Director. “Our summer camps give children ranging in age from kindergarten through 10th grade the chance to grow in their self confidence and character. They will play a variety of games, meet new friends, and have the opportunity to go on field trips and swim.”

The YMCA’s summer day camp will provide a wide range of activities including arts & crafts, music, nature education, field trips, character development, outdoor games, and swimming. There are a variety of camps to choose from including traditional, sports, and specialty camps.
