The deadline to apply for this year’s Middletown Historical Society’s college scholarship has been extended to April 15.
Applicants must be residents of the Appoquinimink School District — though application is open to those who live in the district but attend school in another district — and has graduated or will graduate by the end of the 2017 school year.
One first-place winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship, and one second-place winner will receive a $500 scholarship.
Application materials are available from school counselors in the Appoquinimink School District, from the Appoquinimink Community Library, Suite 101, 651 N. Broad St., Middletown; and at the Middletown Historical Society, 216 N. Broad St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays and the first and third Saturdays of the month. Essays should be given to the student's school counselor for review, who will send along with applications to email@example.com.
