Elayne James Salon in Middletown is sponsoring a bra drive to support cancer organizations and The Bra Recyclers, a nonprofit organization that provides bras for over 80 charitable organizations.

Bra recycling is an economical and environmentally friendly way to assist families worldwide that are survivors of cancer, domestic violence, human trafficking or life's everyday challenges.

The U.S. citizen throws away 70 pounds. of clothing each year, but 95 percent of textiles, worn or torn, can be recycled and donated to families in transition.

During the biggest fundraising month, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, there is more ways to support those affected with breast cancer than buying pink or wearing pink. And as an added benefit, The Bra Recyclers supports shelters, those affected by human trafficking and more.
