God’s Power & Light Theater Company will present a holiday musical, “The First NOEL,” with showtimes at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9, 10 and 11 and 2 p.m. Nov.12 at the Historic Everett Theater. 51 W. Main St., Middletown.

“The First NOEL” tells the story of Bill, a TV news reporter on an assignment in the town of Dickensburg to cover the annual “Dickens Christmas Fest” on Christmas Eve. While there, he wrestles with finding joy and peace at Christmas time amidst the hurts and challenges of his own life. Through a little girl’s innocent faithfulness, Bill learns that he can find comfort and strength when he learns to cry out to Jesus.

John Riddle is directing a cast of 35 local singers, dancers and actors. Kim Taylor is the choreographer, Bill Jenkins is the music director and Chris Ponce is playing the keyboard. The show also features an original song, “Find My First Noel,” by Jenkins.

Adult tickets are $12 advance and $14 and the door; children are $6 advance and $8 at the door, available at brownpapertickets.com.
