Victim survives after Narcan shot
A heroin overdose, which was successfully reversed by a dose of Narcan, was reported by Middletown Police Chief Michael Iglio to Town Council on Monday.
At about 3:50 p.m. on Jan. 8, Middletown police officers responded to East Main Street in reference to an adult found unresponsive in a vehicle due to an apparent heroin overdose, Iglio said.
“Narcan was administered and the subject regained consciousness. The victim was transported to the hospital and later released,” Iglio said.
Iglio included the incident in his monthly report for January before Town Council.
Also, in his report, he talked about an incident on East Main Street about a man with a gun.
At 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 12, police contacted a victim who alleged a 30-year-old man pointed a handgun while in the area of a business on East Main Street, Iglio said.
The suspected was charged with aggravated menacing and was arrested on Jan. 24. He was transported to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna after failing to post bond. .
