Twenty-five linemen and support employees from Delmarva Power, Atlantic City Electric and Pepco will depart for Puerto Rico on Feb. 18 to aid in relief efforts.
A pre-deployment briefing will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 14 at Delmarva Power’s Conference Center, 4100 S. Wakefield Drive, Newark. The briefing will be held for crews from Delmarva Power and the other Pepco Holdings’ utilities, which include Atlantic City Electric in southern New Jersey and Pepco in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Those departing to Puerto Rico will stay for 30 days working in the Caguas region. The Exelon utilities Atlantic City Electric, BGE, ComEd, Delmarva Power, PECO and Pepco are sending nearly 150 personnel as part of a contingent of about 1,500 restoration personnel from Edison Electric Institute member companies. Trucks and other equipment have been sent ahead.
