The driver, Mosi L. Howell, 19, of Wilmington, was charged at Troop 9 in Odessa after being found with more than 350 grams of marijuana on Route 1, police said.
Delaware State Police arrested a Wilmington man Wednesday, April 11 after a traffic stop near St. Georges led to the discovery of drugs.
The incident happened at about 9:25 a.m., when a trooper patrolling the Korean War Veterans Memorial Highway (Route 1) saw a man without a seat belt driving a Honda Accord north of the William V. Roth Bridge.
The trooper pulled over the driver. During the stop, the trooper detected an odor of marijuana and saw bags of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car, police said.
During the investigation, police said they found more than 353 grams of marijuana.
The driver, Mosi L. Howell, 19, of Wilmington, was taken to Troop 9 in Odessa where he was charged with manufacturing, delivering or possessing with intent to deliver a contraband substance; possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, not wearing a seat belt and driving without a license, police said.
He was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $3,000 unsecured bond while awaiting another court appearance.
