ACLU of Delaware and partner organizations will host a press conference and lobby day beginning at noon June 20 on the eastside steps of Legislative Hall, 411 Legislative Ave., Dover.

The ACLU of Delaware will this week urge legislators to move on important legislation before this session comes to a close.

Confirmed speakers are Kathleen MacRae of the ACLU of Delaware, Kate Parker of the Delaware Center for Justice and Eugene Young from Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League.

Several bills on issues such as bail reform, adult expungement, school-level funding transparency and paid family leave are sitting in the general assembly without movement. This lobby day is a chance for constituents to visit their legislators and urge them to move these bills forward. Attendees are encouraged to wear red to show support for these issues.
