To better engage with local stakeholders and the community, Delaware's State Board of Education will hold their public meetings at lead education associations across the state this year.

The Appoquinimink School District has been given the honor of hosting the first such meeting, set for 5 p.m. Sept. 20 in the boardroom of the Marion E. Proffitt Training Center, 118 S. Sixth St., Odessa.

Local parents, staff, elected officials and members of the press are invited to join them as they review Smarter Balanced testing results (a follow-up to earlier discussions), the progress of the career pathways initiative and DIAA Regulations 1008 and 1009. No RSVP is necessary.
