Registration is open for the U.S. Small Business Administration federal government contracting workshop “Woman-Owned Small Business Set-Aside and 8(a) Business Development Programs,” set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 28 at the U.S. Small Business Administration, Delaware District Office, I.M. Pei Building, 1105 N. Market St. Wilmington, in Lobby Level, Suite 02.

The Woman-Owned Small Business Set-Aside Program is an initiative created by the SBA to provide greater contracting opportunities for women-owned small businesses by allowing certain contracts to be competed among businesses registered as a Women-Owned Small Business.

The 8(a) Business Development Program offers contractual assistance, financial assistance and management and technical assistance to firms that are owned and controlled at least 51 percent by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.

Guests should arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the workshop.
