Ariana Gaston was named the 2019 Delaware FFA National Officer Candidate.
Gaston is member of the Middletown FFA Chapter and is a sophomore at Colorado State University, majoring in agricultural education with a concentration in teacher development. Her supervised agriscience experiences focus on food safety, natural resource management and home and community development. She has spent hours volunteering with the Student Conservation Association while engaging in invasive species removal, trail maintenance and restoration in which she received a State Proficiency Award for in 2017. Additionally, Gaston has competed successfully on local, state and national levels within numerous Leadership and Career Development Events such as forestry, extemporaneous speaking, prepared public speaking and employment skills.
Her leadership experiences throughout her agricultural education journey have been diverse as she served as a president of the Middletown FFA Chapter during her senior year and has utilized her passion for FFA and leadership as she maintains involvement at Colorado State University with “Ag Adventure,” “Ag Ed Alliance” and with the Colorado FFA Association.
Gaston will represent Delaware at the National FFA Convention and Expo in October in Indianapolis, Indiana.
