The University of Delaware New Castle County Cooperative Extension announced its December schedule of programs and events.
New Castle County 4-H Winter Fun Day is set for 10 a.m. to noon at the UD NCC Cooperative Extension, 461 Wyoming Road, Newark. Guests will learn to make chalk couture ornaments, signs and enjoy a snack. Ages 8 and older. Cost is $12 per person at the door. To register, call 831-2506.
The Smart Care Medicare Health Insurance and Long Term Care Basics workshop is set for 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Dec. 3 at the Garfield Park Recreation Center, 26 Karlyn Drive, Newark; and 12:30 to 2 p.m. Dec. 3 at Delaware City Library, 250 Fifth St. For those approaching Medicare enrollment or considering a supplemental plan, presenter Maria Pippidis, UD Cooperative Extension educator, will review the information needed to make a smart choice about these health insurance options and review long-term care options.
