Two separate thefts of more than $13,000 worth of cellphones, headphones and other goods from the Amazon fulfillment center occurred in April, according to Middletown Police Department’s monthly report.

During the first week of April, Amazon reported that 16 iPhones were stolen. An unknown person used the ID of another employee to enter on multiple occasions to get the phones. The estimated loss is $9,500.

David Grant, 26, took more than $3,800 worth of cellphones, headphones and other items April 14. The property was recovered and returned to Amazon. A felony theft warrant has been issued for him.
