Middletown broke up a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the sixth inning with a six-run rally including a grand slam from Spencer Harbert.

Middletown's Spencer Harbert hit a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth inning to help lift the Cavaliers to a 7-1 victory over Appoquinimink in high school baseball action Thursday.

The game was tied 1-1 in the sixth before Middletown's offense erupted for six runs including Harbert's grand slam.

Eric Schwar went 4-for-4 with an RBI, and Harbert also had a double for the Cavs who improved to 8-2.

On the mound, Cole Dunn pitched the complete game for Middletown, scattering four hits and striking out three.

For Appoquinimink, Derek Esposito went 2-for-3 with a double, and Javon Fields hit a double for the Jaguars who are now 7-3.
