The Middletown Cavaliers wrapped up their regular season schedule Tuesday, falling to Conrad 5-3.

The Cavaliers trailed most of the day after Conrad broke out to an early lead scoring runs in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th innings. Down 5-0 entering the top of the seventh, Middletown rallied for three runs in the inning but the comeback came up short.

Michael Awtry gave the Cavaliers fits on the mound Tuesday, going six innings for Conrad striking out four to stay undefeated at 6-0.

Sophomore Cole Dunn went the distance for Middletown, allowing five runs on seven hits.

The Cavaliers finished the season 14-4 overall and now wait for state tournament seeds to be released.
