The Appoquinimink Jaguars are headed to the DIAA Boys Lacrosse State Championships game after defeating No. 2 Tower Hill 12-8 Wednesday night in the semifinals.

Cross Ferrara and Campbell Garrison both finished with a game-high four goals apiece for Appo. Ferrara added two assists and John Dubar and Zach Bowen combined for two goals and five helpers for the Jags.

Appo took an early 3-1 lead after one quarter, holding onto their two-goal lead through into halftime, 6-4.

Leading 8-6 heading into the final quarter, the Jags outscored the Hillers 4-2 in the final stanza to earn a berth into the DIAA state title game.

The Jags will take on No. 1 Salesianum in the championship Saturday night.

Sallies knocked off No. 5 Archmere Academy in Wednesday night’s semifinals, 20-10.
