A miniature golf course, Putters Paradise, is tentatively planning to open next week in Middletown.
The 18-hole course is located at 130 Commerce Drive near Westown Movies and Walmart off of Merrimac Drive and U.S. Route 301.
Owners of the business are Joel Ashkenase, Mike Myers and Mark Hall.
"This is our first adventure in golf courses," said Hall, of Townsend. "We thought it was a great opportunity for added fun in Middletown at a place which isn't just for kids -- it's for families, seniors and everyone."
Hall said the course will open after the final inspection by the Town of Middletown once the parking lot and sidewalk are finished.
In keeping with the "Paradise" theme, the course features a waterfall, streams and several fountains, along with a variety of plants, shrubs and trees.
The design of the golf holes was created by Harris Golf of Wildwood, N.J.
The clubhouse at Putters Paradise has a walk-up window where soft-serve ice cream, snacks and bottled beverages will be sold.
Hours are tentatively scheduled for 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
Hall said hours in the late fall and winter will be up to Mother Nature.
"As an outdoor, seasonal course, we'll stay open as long the weather dictates," he said. "We will post our hours on our Facebook page.
