Former Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to address the crowd at the Delaware 87ers basketball game Saturday, March 25 as the team hosts Beau Biden Foundation Night.

The 87ers, the NBA Developmental League team of the Philadelphia 76ers, will be hosting the Windy City Bulls at 7 p.m., at the University of Delaware's Bob Carpenter Center in Newark.

Joe Biden is scheduled to speak during a special halftime ceremony as the two organizations raise awareness for the Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children.

"The 87ers organization is excited to partner with the Beau Biden Foundation, which stands for a cause that deserves so much attention and support from our community," said Sevens President Larry Meli. "We are thrilled to use our platform to help disseminate the foundation’s message and we look forward to welcoming the Biden family to join our fans for a fantastic evening of philanthropy and basketball."

The Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children continues the late Beau Biden’s commitment to protecting the most vulnerable among us, especially children who have fallen victim to abuse and neglect. Beau was the son of Former Vice President Joe Biden.

The foundation works to end child sexual abuse by effectively educating adults and children, developing the next generation of child welfare professionals and strengthening child protection laws around the country.

"We’re thrilled to be able to engage with so many families through our partnership with the Sevens," said Patty Dailey Lewis, executive director of the Beau Biden Foundation. "The child ID kits we will be making at the game are an important resource for parents, and a critical part of our mission to shine a bright light on child sexual abuse."

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at SEVENS.COM, by calling (302) 504-7587 or by visiting the Bob Carpenter Center box office.

Admission starts at just $14 and portions of all sales will be donated to the Beau Biden Foundation. Sevens players will also wear custom Beau Biden Foundation uniforms designed by Unique Image, available to fans in a silent auction to benefit the organization.
